The corner of the internet where you should probably turn around.

My name is Anna Ward-Gow. I love music (punk, folk, alternative), science and art.

Perhaps I could go into greater depth. I am currently at university studying Literature with Creative writing. When I’m not doing work (which isn’t exactly often) I see my friends (scarce though they may be), and we usually do some exciting things like rescuing beached logs and smoke newspapers. I also read and write. I love literature in all its forms- in music, poetry, novels etc.

I have a cat called the Ginger Ninja. I am from Yorkshire, because of which, I am burdened with the least  elegant  accent you could perhaps ever encounter. My hair is red and I should say it’s long.

I am nothing less than a complete nerd when it comes to physics. I love it. My biggest passion is English.

I also plan to dye my hair green.

This is how I look most of the time. (Like an idiot.)

Hello! 😀 Wow! I am truly flattered you think so 🙂
Although I’ll never be convinced my accent is in any way enviable 😉 haha 😀
I may also have wandered upon your blog, I found my self unable to not follow 🙂 (becuase it’s probably the most genuine, wonderful blog I have come across!)
      You take care also 😀
      And, thanks 🙂

The Yorkshire accent is brill. Not as good as the Brum one though.

Neither are as good as the one that a nice man from Surrey has though. Best accent in the world, that. Top top old chap!

You’re ridiculously cool. How did you do that?

Also, I do English Lit at university and it’s not what I thought. It’s alright, but much more based on citing other’s opinions than creating your own. Also, you have to read 4-6 books a week at about 400 pages each, but if you really love it, then do it.

Physics is awesome. I wish I’d done that.

Awwww this is SO sweet, thank you :3
I must admit that is a little disheartening to hear about your literature degree… the reading bit is fine of course 🙂
I hope you are enjoying it nonetheless 😀
      Thanks ^_^

I’m looking forward to visiting England some day so I can have an accident… I mean ACCENT — although probably both since you drive on the wrong side of the street 😉

    • Pinkjumpers

      February 28, 2013 at 5:54 pm

Haha! But this is hardly a fair argument since you literally drive on the ‘right’ side.. damn! We didn’t think this one through at all. Haha.

When you do come over, however, you’ll have to work on your spelling 😉
      I.e. ‘colour’, ‘grey’, ‘aeroplane’…

Since, y’know, Americans can’t spell and all that. 😉

      Hehe. 🙂

Hello. Thank you for visiting my blog. And try not to be so hard on yourself; you sound like a wonderful person, although, perhaps I have a small bias, being a language (and math) nerd myself–but I don’t think you “look like an idiot”. Indeed, I don’t think there is such a thing as looking like an idiot.

    Cordially,
    TWM

I must say – we have much in common! English and Physics – also my two favourite subjects. I suppose ‘great minds think alike’, eh? 😉

    • Pinkjumpers

      April 29, 2013 at 8:29 pm

Hmm, I could go as far as to say that you own a great mind but as for me… well… haha!

But really, a love of English and physics – I dare say – is quite a rarity! It’s cool to meet you. 🙂

Aha, don’t put yourself down so much! Any physicist/writer is great! 😀

          April 29, 2013 at 9:04 pm

I also enjoy maths too! 🙂
Well, I certainly used to anyway… the A-level maths course I do churns out topics so quickly that it’s difficult to find time to appreciate and/or enjoy it.
Nothing beats that immense satisfaction of getting a correct answer to a difficult question. Haha :’)

Hey there Anna, one of the prettiest idiots I ever did see. I decided I had to say something here because as I scrolled down reading all your lovely comments I kept getting distracted by the burning man to my right, I feel like I should read this with a hose in my hand 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I will camp here a while to check out yours.

Yes, I never thought about how distracting a man on fire could be!

Camping is certainly welcome here, although apparently it’s a rather flammable area so you may want to watch out with the marshmallows. 😉

    Anna,

I enjoyed very much visiting here today. Perusing your posts as far back as 2012, it’s clear that you have progressed in a positive direction, and the unfolding has quite a variety of marvelous entries, filled with angst and joy, helpful tips and hurtful riffs, sad laments and hilarious hints, all about a budding human, artist, poet, and lady.

Contrary to your frequent expression of needing the dark, it seems to me that spending more time in the light would suit you a great deal better. You are young, but show signs of having learned well from your experiences, and there are lots of older folks who have far less wisdom than what readers here can find often. I would encourage you to keep at it and read and write and learn as much as you can, and then share it here.

I love the self-portrait that you attached as your gravatar, and appreciate your visit to my blog very much, I hope you enjoyed it half as well as my visit here, and that you will visit again..

    Warm regards….John H.

Thank you for writing this, it has made my day!
You are right in that I have progressed positively in the last couple of years and I’m glad that this is noticeable. Your compliments are very kind and I appreciate them tremendously. Trying to focus on the light is something which I am certainly working on, in all of its various forms.
I similarly enjoyed reading your extremely insightful and beautifully composed blog, so I do look forward to reading your future posts. 🙂
      Thank you again,
      Anna.
