There once was a man named Glenn,
Boldly armed with romantic pen,
A thousand sweet notes
Curled in a box he wrote
How I long to see him again.
I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s day this year!

Captain Birdseye had a habit of killing fish. But I get your gist 🙂

Haha! Oh yes. Perhaps I ought to view this note as more of a threat!
I keep meaning to tell you actually, I’m currently putting together a creative writing portfolio for my application for the University of Manchester (I’ve already passed its two stages) which requires a short story and a few poems. It’s all very exciting! I’m in the middle of writing the story at the moment, so I shall blame that for my lack of recent posts. 🙂

Wow that’s great-I had wondered where you’d wandered off to! What’s the story about, or can you not say yet?

It can only be up to 2000 words so I thought I would condense a story idea I had from a while back. (Online ‘plot generators’ let me down terribly!) It’s a crazy, unusual man looking back on his life basically. I’m hoping to build up for quite an interesting twist at the end.
I will probably post the first paragraph sometime soon!

You’ve got me wanting to read the last paragraph now!
Well good luck with that. I’m limbering up to begin writing fiction soon, just got to get some poetry sent off first. Speaking of fiction, don’t know if you saw my post recently Please Don’t Kill My Mockingbird? I’ve been blown away by the news about another book by Harper Lee. I am both excited and worried in equal parts. For the first time ever I have pre-ordered a book, five months before the publishing date. Mucho excited. Mucho nervous. Mucho mucho.

Haha, thank you! 🙂
I’m very much anticipating your fiction.
I was so ecstatic to find out about Harper Lee’s novel! Like you I am a little nervous as there is an insane amount of expectation and pressure on this one but I’m so looking forward to reading it.

Oh my gosh! That is adorable! 😊😊 I haven’t read a limerick in ages… You’ve got me feeling so inspired now. 😊 Time to dig out the poetry books. This post made me smile a lot!
